Terms of Service

These are the terms you agree to by creating a Verified account. Read alongside our Rules & Content Policy and Privacy Policy.

Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
  • The age you provide at signup is self-declared — you're responsible for providing it accurately.
  • 18+ content is only shown to accounts that have declared themselves 18 or older.

Your account

  • You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity on your account.
  • One account per person. Don't impersonate someone else or create an account for someone under 13.
  • We may require an invite code to sign up at our discretion, while the platform is invite-controlled.

Content you post

  • You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you grant Verified a license to display, distribute, and store it as part of running the app.
  • You're responsible for making sure you have the right to post what you post.
  • All top-level posts are reviewed by a human moderator before they go live; replies publish immediately and are reviewed only if reported.
  • We may reject or remove content, or edit-review submitted changes, per our Rules & Content Policy.

Moderation & enforcement

  • We may approve, reject, or remove any content at our discretion, with a reason provided where applicable.
  • Rule violations may result in a strike, temporary suspension, or a permanent ban, depending on severity and history.
  • Decisions are made by human moderators, not automated systems.

Termination

  • You may stop using Verified at any time.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or our Rules & Content Policy.

Disclaimers

  • Verified is provided "as is." Human review reduces but doesn't eliminate the chance of encountering inaccurate, offensive, or objectionable content.
  • "News"-tagged posts are checked against sources at review time, but this isn't a guarantee of ongoing accuracy.
  • We aren't liable for content posted by users, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes to these terms, we'll update this page and the date below.
